The first Mere Fireworks Festival on 30th October 2011 will feature a range of activities
for the whole community to enjoy, both on the night and leading up to the festival.

We are delighted to have the services of pyrotechnics expert Bill Deeker, from Pains Fireworks,
who will be designing and firing the show. Bill is a seasoned professional who cut
his teeth on the famous display in Hyde Park for the wedding of Prince Charles and
Diana. Since then he has produced countless shows including: King Hussain of Jordan
accession anniversary celebrations, the stadium roof pyrotechnics for the Rod Stewart
European Tour, Henley Festival, Stourhead Fete Champetre and Glastonbury Festival
to name but a few. He was also Pyrotechnician designate for the Royal Yacht Britannia
until its de-commissioning.
